Well..your Masked Ball was a good idea to try and get people informed, but you didn't tell me, and it looked like you invited people that had no idea what was going on or why. I've told you this before, but I'll write it here again for you-you're not alone. If you didn't tell Enoch and I, then you should have. We're here to help! And inviting people that we didn't know and ones that didn't know was happening probably wasn't the best idea.
As for my friend, it's not exactly your leadership here..he's had a bad experience in the past, and he's worried about being betrayed again. Zelda..could you tell me some of your story? Just a little so that I can reassure him? He's a dear friend of mine, so I hope you will.
Again, I apologize. My silence on the matter what not because I do not trust you or Enoch, but rather because we had little time before the end of the month. Even if it was confusing, I was of the mind that any small amount of preparation was better than none.
As for my story, well, I must say it is not necessarily a short or pleasant one, but all right. I will start with the basics, and if you ask for further detail, I will elaborate.
I was born to the King and Queen of Hyrule just as a long period of civil war came to an end. The King united the various races of Hyrule, and there was peace for a time.
As a child, I possessed the gift of prophecy, allowing me glimpses into Hyrule's future in my dreams. One night, I dreamt of dark clouds covering the land, suffocating it. But then a green light shot out of the forest, parting the clouds and banishing the darkness. The light became a boy followed by a fairy companion, and I knew he was the key to saving my country.
The darkness represented a man I am sure you know, as he resides within these Tower walls as well. His name is Ganondorf Dragmire, and he is known as the King of Evil in my world.
I acted to stop him as best a child could, and I was soon joined by that boy from my dreams, but we were foolish children, and our actions led to him stealing a piece of a holy relic known as the Triforce, giving him unprecedented power. For seven years he ruled over Hyrule, and I was forced into hiding until the day the boy would return and seal the King of Evil away.
That's alright, and I'm glad to hear that you trust Enoch and I..but even if we didn't have much time, we would have found a way to help you out, if you told us. I'm always in the library, and ditching Ivan is a pain, but it's not hard. And preparation is always nice..but if you invite the wrong people or people who aren't involved or trustworthy, that sort of prep will get to you. But hopefully you've learned from that mistake!
And don't worry about telling me a salt-filled story. Even if it's painful and makes me cry, I still want to hear it, both for me and my friend. I've had a few run-ins with Ganon before. He's not a pleasant person, even if he is usually true to his word when he's threatening people.
I am sorry that you and Link failed though. Those seven years must have been horrible. Did Link ever manage to return? And how did he vanish in the first place?
He did return eventually, yes. You see, the Triforce had several measures in place protecting it, including a divine sword known as the Blade of Evil's Bane: The Master Sword. Link drew the sword from its pedestal, hoping to use it to protect the Triforce from Ganondorf. But as he was a child, he was not old enough to wield it. So the sword put him into stasis, and within the Sacred Realm he slept for seven years until the day he was old enough to bear the mantle of Hero of Time.
When he finally did return to Hyrule, he fulfilled his destiny, sealing Ganondorf away and restoring peace to the land.
I've heard of The Master Sword before from Tetra..but while it's nice that the sword was trying to avoid having children use it, if you both were actively fighting against Ganon at that age, I think..it probably just made things worse for you and everyone else with all the waiting. I'm sure the land and people suffered, and I know from books that young children can wield swords and be courageous if they have a goal in mind. You two certainly did.
However, it's good that Ganon is sealed. I do have one question though that's a bit unrelated to this..how do the floods tie in with your world? Or is Tetra from a different timeline?

All I can say is that life is nothing like the idyllic stories one finds in fiction. Destiny is not fair, nor just, nor kind. I do not know what would have happened in a perfect world where Link did not have to sleep, but I know that it is not my world.

If it is all right with you, I would rather not talk about the Flood. I will say that Tetra is, in fact, my direct descendant, however.

The stories I am speaking of are not wholly idyllic or kind. I'm sure Wataru and Mitsuru would be pretty annoyed if someone called their journey wholly kind, beautiful, or childlike. They had to face a lot. Murder, fate, and destruction of whole countries. They had different circumstances than you and Link..but Wataru was still able to complete a lot because he was brave and kept going, even though he was young.
..I'm just unsure as to why that was a specific rule of the sword, that's all. And I'm sure that you probably don't know the answer to that question either. And who can say that a world where Link didn't have to sleep would be perfect? No world is ever perfect. Nor is any person.
It's fine if you don't want to talk anymore about your past. However, if Tetra is your descendent, I'm guessing that the seals broke and that the Goddesses took action.

I've heard of The Master Sword before from Tetra..but while it's nice that the sword was trying to avoid having children use it, if you both were actively fighting against Ganon at that age, I think..it probably just made things worse for you and everyone else with all the waiting.
